What custom should mean

Evidence at every handoff

A custom sauna asks you to trust work that happens hundreds or thousands of miles away. Our process is designed to make that work visible: measurements become plans, plans become fitted cedar, and the finished system is checked before it enters a crate.

SaunaCloud does not simply source a cabin and add a badge. We coordinate the room design, Western Red Cedar interior, VantaWave heaters, CORE 5 power delivery, controls, and installation documents as one project.

01

Design for the room

We solve the fit before we cut the wood

Every project starts with the actual room, not a stock cabin size.

We review dimensions, ceiling height, doors, windows, bench preferences, and electrical access before production.

You receive project-specific renderings and plans so the sauna, trades, and surrounding architecture can be coordinated early.

Project-specific dimensions and documentation
02

Material selection

Clear Western Red Cedar, inspected board by board

The interior begins with solid cedar selected for appearance and stability in heat.

Boards are inspected for grain, color, and defects before they are assigned to visible walls, ceilings, and benches.

We do not use interior MDF, particle board, plywood, veneers, stains, varnishes, or surface sealants.

03

Fabrication

Cut, fitted, and finished for one project

Custom dimensions move from the drawing into carefully fitted cedar components.

Wall, ceiling, and bench assemblies are built to the approved measurements instead of trimmed from a universal kit.

Openings, transitions, and visible joints are checked as the build progresses, when corrections are still easy to make.

04

Integrated engineering

Heat, power, and controls are built as one system

VantaWave heaters, CORE 5 power delivery, controls, and wiring are specified together.

Heater placement is mapped to the room and bench layout to create broad body coverage rather than isolated hot spots.

Connections and components are assembled and inspected by the team responsible for supporting the finished system.

05

Pre-assembly and testing

We verify the system before it leaves the shop

The build is checked as an operating system, not as a collection of untested parts.

Fit, heater operation, controls, and electrical connections are checked while the project is still in our workshop.

This creates a documented handoff for installation and reduces avoidable questions after the shipment arrives.

06

Pack and install

A complete, documented system arrives at the project

Cedar, heaters, power, controls, hardware, and project documents are packed for the local trades.

Components are organized and protected for freight rather than sent as anonymous loose parts.

Your installer and licensed electrician receive the information needed for assembly and final electrical connection, with product support available after delivery.

Incredible custom sauna experience

The entire process from design consultation to delivery was seamless. The team helped me think through every detail — wood species, heater placement, bench layout — and the finished sauna exceeded every expectation. The craftsmanship is genuinely on a different level. I've used a lot of saunas and this is the best-built one I've ever stepped into.

Great customer service

Had a question about installation clearances after delivery and the team got back to me within an hour with a clear, detailed answer. Even sent a diagram. Post-purchase support is where a lot of companies fall apart — SaunaCloud is not one of those companies. The sauna itself is beautiful and runs perfectly. Five stars without hesitation.

I am satisfied with the service

I was a bit nervous ordering a custom sauna online but everything went smoothly from start to finish. Communication was clear throughout the build process, shipping was well packaged, and setup was straightforward. The sauna heats up quickly and the heat is incredibly even throughout the cabin. Very happy with the purchase and would recommend to anyone looking for a quality infrared sauna.

Construction FAQ

Questions before your project starts

Where are SaunaCloud saunas built?

SaunaCloud operates from Diamond Springs, California and Montreal, Quebec. Custom cedar components and the integrated heater, power, and control system are prepared for each project before shipment across North America.

What wood does SaunaCloud use?

SaunaCloud interiors use clear-grade Western Red Cedar selected for appearance and dimensional stability. Interior surfaces do not use MDF, particle board, plywood, veneers, stains, varnishes, or surface sealants.

Is every sauna assembled before shipping?

The major assemblies, heater operation, controls, connections, fit, and finish are checked in the workshop before packing. Final room assembly and licensed electrical connection take place at the project site.

Who installs a custom SaunaCloud sauna?

A local installer or contractor assembles the sauna, and a licensed electrician completes the electrical connection. SaunaCloud supplies project-specific documents and product support for the installation team.

What is included with the sauna?

The project kit includes the specified cedar components, VantaWave heaters, CORE 5 power and controls, Wi-Fi control equipment, required sauna hardware, and project documentation. The exact scope is listed in the project proposal.
