In 2014, Christopher Kiggins was frustrated. The infrared sauna industry was flooded with cheap imports, inflated marketing claims, and components that failed within years. As someone who had experienced the benefits firsthand — daily 30-minute sessions that helped him lose 20 pounds, lower blood pressure, and find real stress relief — he knew the technology worked. The products just didn't.
Disappointed by the lack of transparency in the market, Christopher founded SaunaCloud to bridge the gap between medical science and home wellness. The principle was simple: do right by every customer, every time. Build something you'd be proud to put in your own home.
In 2015, he wrote The Definitive Guide to Infrared Saunas — one of the first comprehensive books explaining far-infrared therapy science to a mainstream audience.
Today, SaunaCloud has completed more than 3,000 installations across North America — from luxury homes to five-star hotels like The Westin, Marriott, and Cavallo Point Resort. Every sauna is designed, engineered, and built by the same team that answers the phone when you call.

A University of California graduate (B.A., 2004–2008), Christopher is the author of The Definitive Guide to Infrared Saunas (2015) and a recognized thought leader in infrared therapy technology. He founded SaunaCloud not to sell saunas, but to build something the industry was missing: honest engineering backed by real science.
Christopher personally handles consultations, providing 3D renderings and electrical plans for every project. When you see his name on your quote or email, he's personally invested in your experience. He's still hands-on with every build — and intends to keep it that way.
