Also, your body will retain more fat cells and you will gain weight as a result, you are also prone to depression as well as being anxious. This will then ruin and disrupt your sleep patterns which will affect your ability to retain memories. It also harms your ability to concentrate. This constant release of adrenaline can actually cause a cardiac emergency as well.
Stress is damaging, however not getting proper sleep is equally as bad. When you don’t get the necessary amount of sleep, your body revolts against you. You will experience increased stress, foggy brain function, impaired motor controls, lethargy, weight gain, poor mood swings, lowered and reduced immune functions to fight disease and viral infections, lowered productivity and poor memory functions. These are all the signs and symptoms that I am sure you are well aware of. Sleep is not given enough respect and when it is absent it can seriously diminish your health. Diminish your health and you will diminish your life.
By using an infrared sauna daily, you will take your body out of the fight or flight sympathetic mode and you will relax in the parasympathetic mode. If you do this daily, your sleep will improve. Improving sleep was the number one day to day benefit that I experienced when I consistently used my infrared sauna. I never miss a day. Everything gets regulated when you get great, deep sleep. My trick that I use is to take a very hot steam shower right after I use my sauna. I don’t personally own a proper steam shower, but I just turn the water on as hot as possible, let the steam build up in the shower and then get in. If you combine the sauna and steam together you will be so physically exhausted that you will have no choice but to lie down and fall asleep. You will wake up feeling refreshed like you never have before. The need for an alarm clock will go away. You will wake up at the same time everyday ready to go. Your need for caffeine will disappear and you will be drinking the right amount of fresh, clean water that your body craves. Over time this will speed up your metabolism, calm your nerves and burn excess fat. Your desire for healthy food will improve as you are not as hungry as you are drinking so much water. When you get in the rhythm of sauna, sleep, sauna, sleep, it really is unlike anything I have ever experienced.
How can this possibly work? When using a far infrared sauna actual physical stress is reduced by boosting blood circulation and by oxygenating that blood. As blood is efficiently circulated it stimulates the production of endorphins; the ‘feel good’ hormones. In terms of our nervous system most of us currently live in ‘sympathetic dominance’.
