Super Foods for Faster Sauna Detoxification

We are overwhelmed every day by toxic air, water, and food. Water pollution, chemicals in our air and additives in our food all combine to assault our bodies causing adverse effects. These effects can alter our overall health to include changes in daily moods, behavior and energy levels. Along with daily utilizing far infrared sauna therapy to deeply cleanse and detox my body I have found when combining this with a healthy diet, I feel better.

I know I am giving my body even more help in terms of my long-term positive health. I have discovered eleven natural edible remedies, graciously provided by Mother Nature, that can cleanse if not eliminate most of the many toxins from our bodies. Some of these remedies include items from fruits, vegetables, tea, spice and even seaweed. Check out what I’ve found!

Fruits

Avocado – Yes, an avocado is a fruit! An avocado contains glutathione. This is a nutrient which is a potent amino acid blend that battles many carcinogens. An avocado has abundant omega-3 fatty acids along with fiber, copper, folate and a variety of other nutrients. This truly is an amazing fruit able to eliminate bad cholesterol and toxins all the while purifying the blood.

Beets – Another vegetable that purifies the blood is the humble root vegetable, the beet. It is rich in betaine, a phytochemical, that is known for total detoxification of the liver also cleanses the blood, battles infection, improves oxygen intake and balances the blood pH levels.

Blueberry – Such a tiny, blue, round fruit yet it packs huge detoxifying benefits. Blueberries are rich in the powerful compound proanthocyanidin. This is a major detoxifier. Blueberries also are filled with anti-inflammatory aspirin, they are antibacterial and provide such cleansing properties that aid in the prevention of UTI’s – urinary tract infections.

Grapefruit – The colorful grapefruit is filled with high fiber content, vitamin C, and lycopene. All of these combine to boost the immune system thereby reducing the risk of cancer – in particular, prostate cancer. Grapefruit is wonderful for cleansing the bowels as it efficiently helps reduce cholesterol. Bonus – grapefruit aids in weight loss. It activates the liver’s ability to burn fat as it actually burns more calories than consumed.

Lemon – As in all citrus the lemon contains huge amounts of vitamin C. This vitamin aids in the removal of free radicals and carcinogens from the body, helps the liver clear toxins and promotes healthier digestion. The juice of just one lemon per day, either in warm or cool water, can totally aid in detoxification and liver cleansing.

Vegetables

All Leafy Greens – This includes spinach, kale, dark lettuce and collard greens and these greens contain some of the most powerfully dense combination of nutrients on earth. These greens contain vitamins and minerals which are high in fiber. Fiber is wonderful when cleansing the intestinal tract These greens also contain phytonutrients also assisting in cleansing liver function and neutralizing harmful free radicals found in many external pollutants.

Garlic – Garlic is a root/tubular/bulb vegetable. Fresh garlic sports a vast array of detoxifying clout. It is able to fend off carcinogens, cleanse arterial blockages, it aids in regulating blood pressure and clearing mucus from the sinuses and lungs. Garlic is a natural anti-bacterial substance which can also eliminate microorganisms, bacteria and certain viruses from the blood.

Seaweed – Marine algae contain a great deal more enriched nutrition than most vegetables we find cultivated on land; seaweed as well. Both seaweed and algae enjoy the ability to prolong life, aid in disease prevention and deliver additional beauty and health. The Asian population has enjoyed the mineral-rich advantages from seaweed for thousands of years; it is a staple in their diet. Seaweed contains distinctive plant compounds that bind to radioactive and heavy metal toxins, in particular lead and mercury. Seaweed is also rich in iodine, minerals, and vitamins. It remains an excellent source of detoxifying, edible and nutrition packed foo

Nuts

Almonds – This little, brown nut is packed with anti-oxidant powers. Almonds contain huge amounts of vitamin E, magnesium, calcium, and copper. They are a great source of omega-3 fatty acid and an even better source of fiber. All of these traits combine to remove cholesterol and purify the blood. Due to the beneficial proteins and low glycemic rating almonds also help maintain even blood sugar levels along with promoting consistently healthy intestinal function.

Teas

Varied Teas – Recent studies have been promising on the consumption of various teas. This would include green, jasmine, traditional flavored English or all black teas. They discovered that most cells in the body could benefit from tea – with virtually no downside. Tea aids heart function by allowing blood vessels to remain unclogged thus more flexible. It improves bone health and aids in muscular strength. Tea reduces oxidative stress and inflammation preventing the usual bone and muscle deterioration. It aids in your ability to think clearly as it allows for more efficient blood flow. When drinking tea the body enjoys a decrease in risk for many cancers. Side bonus? Tea reduces fat. It blocks adipogenesis or the formation of fat cells. Mentally tea soothes nerves, boosts energy and generally can just make life a little better.

Spices

Turmeric – Curcumin is a compound derived from the beautifully, orange-colored spice, turmeric; a potent anti-inflammatory found in the liver. Additionally, turmeric, an anti-inflammatory, is a natural pain reducer. Research shows curcumin could significantly reduce bile duct blockage and fibrosis by reducing reactions from the inflammatory process in the liver. This is an all-around power packed spice, generally found in curries, that can truly aid in detoxification and it tastes good, too.
