I truly believe that Far Infrared sauna therapy is great for all of us for so many reasons. This is why when I come across another terrific reason for Far Infrared I was not shocked but I will admit I was even more impressed by this technology. I recently discovered that Far Infrared sauna therapy actually increases our body’s natural production of HGH. HGH is produced by the pituitary gland. It spurs growth in children and adolescents and aids in regulating body composition. It also controls body fluids, muscle and bone growth, sugar and fat metabolism and heart function. It’s a good thing!
Our body’s naturally produce HGH (growth hormone) in the pituitary gland. It is responsible for cell growth and regeneration. Increasing muscle mass and bone density cannot occur without HGH. It also plays a major role in maintaining the health of all human tissue including that of the brain and our other vital organs. When secreted HGH only stays in the bloodstream for a few minutes however this is enough time for the liver to convert it into growth factors. The most critical of factors is insulin-like growth factor-1 (IGF-1) which boasts a host of anabolic properties. In the 1950’s HGH was taken from cadavers for use, while it took until the 1980’s to produce a synthetic version of HGH. Today HGH is used as a supplement to enhance athletic performance.
